In Mark 11:20 Jesus said,

"And as they (Jesus and the disciples) were passing by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots up". (NASB)

At times, victory in our lives is not experienced because what we see as our problem or struggle, is fruit rather than the root of our situation. It is easy to find ourselves praying and not addressing the real issue that God needs to expose and deal with in us.
