The Covenant of God
“And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing; and I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. “
~ (Genesis 12:2-3)
The expression of God’s covenant to Abram stands as a testimony of the heart of our Heavenly Father—a heart of blessing, compassion and desire to see His love poured out to the ends of the earth. It is a covenant that was begun in traditional ceremony, but later sealed with the Blood of Jesus, Himself. It is the ‘Gospel Message’ carried out by the Father but intended for all the nations of the earth.
Through Jesus’ redemption of mankind to the Father, there is a promise of blessing for every believer. It is not to be looked upon as a future hope, but a present reality that every one of us is called into in relationship.
