The Journey of Steve and April McEvoy to Restored Foundations

Steve and April McEvoy found themselves in a place of desperation in the early 1990’s. Steve wrote a letter to God and cried out to Him seeing no end to their struggle. God answered the cry, rescued them and put them in a new place. God opened His Word and began a journey of transformation in their lives. They quickly discovered that the answers that they needed were found in the written Word of God and through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. God restored their broken foundations.
January 3rd, 1995 the Holy Spirit spoke to Steve and showed him that the answer that he received was to become their new found calling. It became Steve and April’s new purpose for living. That purpose was to take the rescue that God worked in them and simply give it away. This is what they are doing today. Giving away what God has given to them. It is the calling upon Steve and April to help others connect with God in such a way that He is able to restore their broken foundations as well.

“Having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together is growing into a holy temple in the Lord.” (Eph. 2:20-21)

Foundation of SMMI

Jesus directed Steve and April to birth Steve McEvoy Ministries International. SMMI is an Apostolic Resource for the Body of Christ. SMMI is founded upon the principle of bringing the teaching ministry of Jesus, through God’s Word, to ministry and business leaders alike to assist them in establishing Biblical foundations within their sphere of influence. It is a part of the mandate of SMMI to help leaders to catch God’s vision for them, and to assist them in their activation to see that vision fulfilled.

The calling that Steve and April have received is not possible to be achieved by them alone. They stand as overseers of a mandate that is centered upon the whole body of Christ. Steve and April have a vision of:

“A remnant of God’s people, healed and whole, working together in unity to reveal the glory of God over all the Earth.”

The Vision for Steve McEvoy Ministries

Raise up a physical centre that helps the Body of Christ prepare for and sustain a revival of God’s presence working through the Church on the earth.

A Training Centre

A training centre that offers a variety of non-accreditation schools designed to teach and train members of the body of Christ.

This involves:

1. Schools of ministry to train and equip members of the body of Christ and activate them into their areas of ministry calling; and
2. A five-fold training school that serves those called to the five-fold ministry.

A Healing and Deliverance Centre

The establishment of a healing and deliverance centre that offers the healing presence of Jesus to those who have need.

This involves:

1. Training to equip and activate those called to the ministry of healing and deliverance;
2. A facility available for people with needs to come to, be ministered to and assisted in so that their healing may be received;
3. A facility where ongoing teaching is available to teach and train people how to walk in health; and
4. A facility where people are encouraged and trained in the caring of their physical man to follow the dietary and exercise laws that God has established on the Earth

A Prayer Centre

A prayer centre that houses ongoing prayer for the region, nation and nations of the world.

This involves:

1. A physical house of prayer for the gathering of intercessors to pray the things revealed from the heart of God;
2. Teaching and training to raise up an army of prayer warriors;
3. Strategic prayer for the nation and nations that are critical to the end time purposes of God; and
4. Secluded, extravagant prayer cabins for leaders to retreat in and receive from the presence of the Lord.

A Resource Development Facility

A media production facility that produces broadcast quality resources to be distributed throughout the world. This involves:

1. A teaching studio to produce teaching and training multi-media resources;
2. A music studio to produce professional praise music to release a fresh new sound of praise into the body of Christ; and
3. A publication facility to produce and release written resources in a quality, professional package.

An Apostolic Calling to Rescue Others

Steve McEvoy Ministries was born in the hearts of Steve and April McEvoy. After experiencing a rescue from the Lord, He birthed in them an apostolic calling to help others receive what they first received from Him. By prayer and seeking God, they were directed to Luke chapter six, verse twelve. In it we read, “and it was at this time that He went off to the Mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.”

Jesus had times in His ministry where He would go and spend extended time with the Father. For us today, these times are strategic so that we may receive revelation concerning the work that God desires to do in us and the things that He desires to speak to us. It is for this purpose that this vision exists… to give people the opportunity to experience times at the side of the mountain.

Activating God’s people to fulfill His call on their lives.

“And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the Body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11-12)

God has given five ministry gifts to serve the Body of Christ. These gifts work in harmony with each other to raise up the ministries (the people) to fulfill the mandate that God has given them to do. Steve McEvoy Ministries International was born in the heart of Steve and April McEvoy with an apostolic vision committed to “Activating God’s people to fulfill His call on their lives.” God has called Steve, April and their team to apostolically serve His body throughout the world.

What We Are Committed To:

1. Working in partnership with other Ephesians ministry gifts (leaders) who hunger to see the glory of God revealed on the Earth.
2. Serving God’s people who hunger for the presence of God to be revealed in their lives and in their churches.
3. Helping release members of the Body of Christ into their place of God-given ministry.
4. Standing firm upon the written Word of God while partnering with Holy Spirit in the release of all of His gifts as revealed in the Word.

What We Do:

We TEACH God’s Word

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by
the Word of Christ. (Romans 10:17)

Faith enables us to connect with God and receive all the promises that He has for us. God’s Word contains the authority and power to cause faith to arise in our heart. We teach God’s Word so that people can grow into the fulness of God’s plan for their life.

We TRAIN God’s principles

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)

The Word of God contains God’s kingdom principles that apply to every area of our lives. We train God’s principles so that the kingdom of God is able to be released in all walks of life.

We ASSIST God’s leaders

So it came about when Moses held his hand up, that Israel prevailed, and when he let his hands down, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy. Then they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other... (Exodus 17:11-12)

God’s leaders are called to stand in the gap on behalf of God’s people. As leaders lead the body forward, they also work to equip God’s people so they can be activated into their place of calling. As leaders do this work, they suffer great attacks from the enemy. Steve McEvoy Ministries holds up the arms of God’s leaders and assists them in fulfilling the call that God has placed upon their lives.

Prophetic Declaration

The enemy has warred and tried to stop God’s children from rising up in the uniqueness that He has for their lives. The battle lines have been drawn and it is now a call to war. It is the time to see God’s people released into the fulness of His plan for their lives. This is your time to take your place in the Body of Christ to help build the plans and purposes that God has for His Church.

It is therefore our mission to do our part and help, “Activate God’s people to fulfill His call on their lives” and see the Glory of God manifest upon the Earth.

It was God’s plan since creation for man to carry His presence on the Earth. Sin robbed us of that presence and released death into our spirit, soul and body. Jesus has delivered us from sin and enabled our spirit to be made alive. The rest of our journey as born again believers is to participate with the Holy Spirit as He restores our soul and body from the effects of sin (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

As believers, we are houses of God’s presence (1 Corinthians 3:16). Although we will all die, the ageing process is accelerated due to our neglect or ignorance of properly caring for our physical man. Our physical bodies are important to God. We each only get one chance to walk in God’s glory and allow His presence to flow through our lives.

There are laws that govern the health of our physical lives while living on the Earth. Neglecting these laws result in unnecessary sicknesses and premature death.

It is our mission to:

Increase the awareness and passion for health within the Body of Christ.

This involves:

1. Teaching, training & imparting a passion within people to walk in Divine health.
   
2. Providing resources for people to rise up and experience greater health and vitality within their physical bodies.
   
3. Networking with others who also have a mandate, in helping others walk in Divine health.
